Virgin Atlantic unveils its revamped lounge at Heathrow – with new cinema, work pods and SPA
Virgin Atlantic Launches Reimagined Lounge at Heathrow with New Cinema, Work Zones, and Wellness Hub
Virgin Atlantic has launched a refreshed Clubhouse at London Heathrow, now equipped with a dedicated cinema, VIP lounge, and spa facilities. The enhancements mark the initial stage of a broader transformation aimed at elevating guest comfort and luxury.
For Upper Class travelers, the upgrade includes a range of premium amenities and personalized services, creating a more immersive experience in the ground-level space. The redesign also introduces a Royal Box area, offering a lavish VIP retreat inspired by theatrical themes.
The invite-only Royal Box provides a secluded setting with panoramic runway views, complemented by plush red suede sofas and a curated centerpiece known as the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities.’ This unique feature showcases an array of sweet treats and champagne offerings for a touch of indulgence.
Two newly added Work Pod studios cater to productivity, featuring modern desks, integrated power outlets, and lighting indicators to signal availability. The design incorporates artistic nods to Virgin Records, including framed vinyl records as décor.
Meanwhile, the Gallery has been restructured to optimize space while enhancing its views of the runway. The area now blends with the overall aesthetic, featuring brass accents, vibrant red tones, and a collection of commissioned artworks by local creators.
The Cinema has been redeveloped into a private, immersive space, drawing inspiration from London’s social clubs and Soho’s hidden screening venues. It offers royal blue armchairs, red seating, and upgraded acoustics, along with charging stations and Bluetooth headphones.
Wellness-focused initiatives have been introduced, including two pop-up sessions in Somadomes—innovative wellness domes available until 31 May. These spaces combine light therapy, sound healing, and meditation to deliver a quick mental reset. Secret Spa treatments, such as massages and facials, will be available until 30 April, with additional services for guests traveling on the Seoul route.
“The Clubhouse remains a signature element of Virgin Atlantic’s brand, and we’re excited to introduce a fresh, bold vision for Heathrow,” said Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer. “This investment blends wellness, entertainment, and design, and we’re just beginning to share what’s next, including new ways to enjoy London’s scenery while spotting planes.”
