Arrest of Fourth Suspect in Ambulance Attack
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed the arrest of a fourth individual linked to the recent arson incident involving ambulances operated by a Jewish charity in north London. This suspect was taken into custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning, with police seen removing the man from the premises.
Three others who were charged following the attack have been remanded in custody after appearing in court. They include Hamza Iqbal, 20, and Rehan Khan, 19, both British nationals, alongside a 17-year-old boy holding dual British-Pakistani citizenship. All three face charges of arson with intent to damage property and negligence regarding potential life endangerment.
The court was informed that four individuals were involved in the attack, with clear evidence pointing to a ‘premeditated and targeted attack against the Jewish community,’ according to prosecutors.
Earlier this week, two men aged 45 and 47 were detained in relation to the case but released on bail pending further investigation, which extends until late April.
