Razzie Awards 2026: Anti-Oscars Name ‘War Of The Worlds’ as Worst Picture
Before the Oscars highlight cinematic triumphs, the Golden Raspberry Awards—commonly known as the Razzies—reveal their annual selections of the year’s most critically panned films. This year’s 46th edition saw the sci-fi epic ‘War Of The Worlds’ crowned with the Worst Picture title, featuring Ice Cube in the lead role.
Punching down for some; balancing the cinematic scales for others…
Receiving five Razzie honors, the film dominated almost every category, including Worst Director (Rich Lee), Worst Actor (Ice Cube), Worst Screenplay (Kenny Golde and Marc Hyman), and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel. Only four other titles claimed Razzie accolades this year.
Disney’s Snow White remake earned two awards: Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo, both tied to its CGI dwarfs. Rebel Wilson secured Worst Actress for her action-oriented ‘comedy’ Bride Hard, while Scarlet Rose Stallone (Sylvester Stallone’s daughter) took Worst Supporting Actress for Gunslingers.
Kate Hudson was presented with the Redeemer Award for her Oscar-nominated performance in Song Sung Blue. The actress has faced several Razzie nods over the years, including roles in My Best Friend’s Girl (2008), Mother’s Day (2016), and Music (2021).
