Ex-England and Liverpool footballer Andy Carroll faces trial next year ‘after breaching non-molestation order by repeatedly calling TOWIE star ex-wife Billi Mucklow’

Ex-England and Liverpool Footballer Andy Carroll Set for 2025 Trial Over Non-Molestation Order Breach

Andy Carroll, a former England and Liverpool striker, is preparing for a trial in 2025 following allegations of breaching a non-molestation order issued against his ex-wife, Billi Mucklow, a star of the reality TV show The Only Way is Essex. The order, enforced by the Family Court at Chelmsford Justice Centre, was put in place on October 10, 2024, to prevent contact between the two parties.

Arrest and Legal Proceedings

The ex-Premier League player, currently with National League South side Dagenham and Redbridge, was arrested at Stansted Airport on April 27, 2024, after reportedly violating the court directive. The incident allegedly occurred on March 11, 2025, when Carroll was accused of ‘repeatedly contacting’ Mucklow ‘without a valid reason.’

“I will schedule the trial for two days on January 18, 2025,” stated Judge Chris Morgan, who adjourned the arraignment to March 4 after learning Carroll’s legal team had anticipated the hearing for the following day.

In his absence during the plea session at Chelmsford Crown Court, the judge noted: “We can only speculate where he is—possibly in France or Dubai, who knows?”

Carroll last appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on February 4, using crutches after undergoing surgery for a fracture and ligament injury. During that appearance, he confirmed his intention to plead not guilty to the breach of the non-molestation order. However, he missed a scheduled Crown Court hearing on March 3.

Divorce and Background

The couple, who divorced in September 2024, had a two-year marriage that ended in July 2024. They share three children: sons Arlo and Wolf, and daughter Marve. Mucklow, who starred on The Only Way is Essex from 2011 to 2013, briefly returned for a cameo in 2018.

Carroll is now dating make-up artist Lou Teasdale, 42, whom he reportedly met at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2024. The striker, hailing from Epping, Essex, was detained by police shortly after arriving in the UK from France at Stansted Airport. A police source explained: “The incident sparked some commotion, as several other passengers were present when he was detained.”

Professional Career

Carroll’s career began with Newcastle before he moved to Liverpool for a then Anfield record transfer fee of £35 million in 2011. He earned nine caps for England between 2010 and 2012. Throughout his playing days, he also represented West Ham, Reading, and West Bromwich Albion. After his spell at French clubs Amiens and Bordeaux, he returned to England and joined Dagenham and Redbridge in July 2024.
