Harry Styles pokes fun at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor with scathing joke during his SNL monologue after the disgraced ex-Prince was arrested amid Epstein files probe
Harry Styles Targets Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in Sharp SNL Jab Following Arrest
During a recent Saturday Night Live monologue, Harry Styles delivered a pointed remark about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was taken into custody last month amid an ongoing investigation tied to Jeffrey Epstein’s files.
A Return to the Spotlight
The 32-year-old singer made his second appearance on the NBC sketch comedy show after his latest album claimed the top spot on the charts. Reflecting on his time away from the public eye, Styles humorously admitted his newfound habit of jogging, claiming it had become ‘tremendously boring’ to his audience.
“I took up jogging. There’s nothing interesting about that. But because I’m me, people pretend to find that interesting. I don’t run to be interesting. I do it for the feeling it gives me, that runner’s high. It’s just amazing,” Styles said.
He contrasted his quiet routine with Andrew’s recent troubles, suggesting that his extended hiatus from the limelight was preferable to the former royal’s public downfall.
The Epstein Connection
Andrew, who had been in the public eye as the eighth-in-line to the throne, faced scrutiny for his association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile. Last month, he was arrested on charges of misconduct in public office, accused of sharing confidential information during his tenure as a UK trade envoy.
Despite his denial of any wrongdoing related to Epstein, the arrest occurred on his 66th birthday, with police seizing him from his cottage at Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate. He remained at Aylsham Police Station for about ten hours before being released shortly before 7pm.
Some speculate that the UK government might propose legislation to strip Andrew of his royal title and succession status, given the controversy surrounding his ties to Epstein.
Queerbaiting and Comedic Interactions
Styles also mocked politically correct fans who labeled him as ‘queerbaiting,’ a term used to describe the tactic of hinting at same-sex relationships without confirming them. He referenced past accusations from 2019, when his hosting style was questioned for its perceived LGBTQ+ undertones.
“Back then, people seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing and some people accused me of something called ‘queerbaiting,’” he said, adding with a dramatic tone: “But did it ever occur to you that maybe you don’t know everything about me, Dad?”
As the monologue neared its end, Styles engaged in a playful flirty moment, kissing SNL star Ben Marshall before turning to the camera with a wink. “Now that’s queerbaiting,” he quipped, referencing his new solo album Kiss All the Time.
When asked about the title, Styles responded: “I loved it because what’s better than kissing all the time?” His words prompted Chloe Fineman to eagerly step onstage, only for him to backtrack: “Which I don’t actually do. I don’t wanna kiss all the time.”
Later, as Sarah Sherman joined the scene, Styles remarked: “Sometimes kissing can be great,” before clarifying, “you know, if you’re really good at it and you’re a good person.” The comment left Fineman visibly disappointed as she exited the stage.
When Marshall reappeared, Styles playfully challenged him: “What are you doing here?” Marshall replied, “Well, you said ‘tight little bum,’ so where’s my kiss?” Styles then retorted: “Come on, Ben, everyone knows there’s nothing little about that thang. You’re hauling a damn wagon back there.”
